Sealing Arrangements
SHAFT SEALS
Seals are required around the rotating shaft to Sustain pressure or vacuum inside the vessel. Prevent escape of toxic/Corrosive vapour and fumes/inflammable vapours/dust from the vessel to outside. To prevent leakage of fluid in lateral and bottom mounted agitators. Prevent ingress of air into the vessel. Several options are available for sealing depending upon the process requirement.
LIP SEALS MODEL
Lip seals are simplest to contain dust / vapour/fumes at few mm of water pressure.
HYDRAULIC SEALS MODEL
Hydraulic seal provides a liquid well to contain vapour / fumes. They will operate at few mm of water column.
STUFFING BOX MODEL
Stuffing box with packing rings of different polymer/elastomer with sacrificial sleeve to protect shaft from erosion at sealing area. Lantern ring with flushing arrangement enhance seal life.
DOUBLE MECHANICAL SEALS MODEL
Where pressure and temperature are high or toxic fluids are handled or vacuum to be maintained, mechanical seals are the right choice. Single or double seals with sealant system available.
